The 36th instalment of the π parties proves to be a very special one, as it hosts the debut appearance of the Canadian duo Orphx in Greece.
Richie Oddie and Christina Selway bring the sound of Orphx all the way from Canada, for one and only show in Greece: at Temple Athens.
Orphx needs no introduction, as the dup has been developing its signature fusion of hypnotic rhythms and experimental noise for almost 3 decades.
Released on a great variety of labels, ranging from Sonic Groove and HANDS, to CLR and Semantica, Orphx also having a remix on Pi Electronics’ second release by Ontal.
The one hour performance of theirs will be accompanied by dj sets from the three heads of the Athens label, Modal Analysis; ANFS also known from his Vanila records, Pi Electronics’ 3.14 and the long awaited return of Kondaktor !
