Π31 brings the party back to Berlin for a night with 3 floors at about blank on Friday, 9th of March. The main stage (mdf) hosts the likes of Diagonal’s Powell, along with Mannequin records boss Alessandro Adrianni, Avian’s latest recruit Rhyw and Tresor’s REKA.
Powell needs no introduction, as over the last few years he has proven himself to be one of the top delegates of the Techno/Noise wave with releases on XL recordings, Liberation Technologies and The Death of Rave, as well as on his own, Diagonal Records.
Alessandro Adriani, the Italian born, Berlin based artist is behind Mannequin, one of the most successful record labels of its kind these days, while his own music has also found a home on labels such as Silent Servant’s Jealous God, Stroboscopic Artefacts and Pinkman.
Rhyw, widely known as the one half of techno duo Cassegrain, recently expanded his solo project with a thrilling release on Shifted’s Avian records and his new EP on his own Fever AM. The Welsh/Greek, Berlin based artist will be closing the night, while another Berliner and Tresor resident, Reka will be responsible for the opening and showing her what a forward thinking dj she is.
Dutch dj and producer, Mark du Mosch, break through Romanian artist Borusiade and Madrid based dj/selector Zorz are the ones who will take over about blank’s Lobby floor this time.
Mark du Mosch comes with a long music backstory, his discography kicking off 12 years ago and his signature sound being showcased by the likes of Dekmantel, Moustache and Lunar Disko Records amongst others. Hailing from Bucharest, Borusiade has been one of the break through faces of the last few years, with her own EPs on Comeme, a remix of Lena Platonos on the highly esteemed Dark Entries, as well as a recent appearance on a V.A. EP on Cititrax / Minimal Wave being some of her top moments to date. Lobby closing set duties fall on Madrid-based, Pi Electronics resident and excellent dj Zorz, who has been a regular on the π parties at about blank lately.
Finally, the third stage of this long night will be at the tent, where another Tresor resident, Mareena and Pi Electronics boss, 3.14 will be taking care of your inner soul’s peace with an ambient floor. Mareena launched a conceptual, ambient project called Unrush a few years ago, while 3.14 has also had his own non-dance-floor oriented project since a long time under the name, Spiritual.
